Gellyball is a game similar to paintball or Nerf darts.
Gellyball blasters fire a super absorbent polymer bead. The beads will break apart on impact, leaving very little trace.
Gellyballs are non-toxic, non-staining and biodegradable. Once fired, they nearly disintegrate into the ground leaving nothing to clean up.
A game coach will guide the players through all aspects of safety, rules of game play and the different games.
Each game offers different elements of play. Some of the games are Elimination, Capture the Flag, Search Party and VIP
A Gellyball blaster is an electronic tagger that fires Gellyball beads.
The rate of fire is about 10 rounds per second. They will travel at around 150 feet per second and fly a distance of about 100 feet. The ammo goes in a pod called a "Hand Grenade", and holds between 700 and 750 rounds.
The ammo goes in a pod called a "Hand Grenade", and holds between 700 and 750 rounds. Because the Gellyball blaster fires at a rate of 10 rounds per second, the ammo could be all used up in just over a minute. However we always recommend players fire in short bursts with a quick pull of the trigger.
Most players will use 1 hand grenade per hour of play.
We want everyone to have fun playing Gellyball. But, we also need to keep things fair for everyone. Most players will use 2 hand grenades in a 2 hour game. If you need a little more, no problem.
However, if a player is excessive and wasteful, he or she may be asked to purchase additional ammo before being allowed to continue playing (this is very rare).
This really depends on the players. The game coach will get as many different games in as they can. If the group follows the rules and keeps fair play, they can play 6 to 10 games per hour!
We provide full face masks for the players and protective goggles for the sideline observers. No player is allowed to operate the Gellyblaster without a mask or in any area where there are others that aren't wearing proper protective gear.
When the rules of safety are observed, Gellyball is very safe.
Most infractions are corrected with a warning.
There are more serious safety rules that require more strict enforcement. A player removing his or her mask during play or firing the Gellyblaster in the direction of others without a mask or protective goggles will be asked to sit out the rest of the game. A second occurrence will result in the player being removed from further game play for the rest of the party.
Depending on distance and clothing, a Gellyball can feel like anywhere from a rubberband flick to a raindrop. A Gellyball will only leave a light mark at very close distances.
We recommend younger children wear longer sleeves and pants.
